Empowering Young Adults for a "Complete"
"Be Teleios"
Future
With Gratitude for the Past
Twenty-nine years ago Anthony and Chris Granese along with Fr. Den O'Donnell and Mary Anne Tauskey co-founded Amigos de Jesus - a Home for abandoned and abused children.
The first question most donors asked was, "How will you prepare the children to transition back into the Honduran culture as mature young adults?"
BE TELEIOS is our answer - providing the structures, resources, and mentorship high-risk adolescents need to navigate life's toughest obstacles and achieve their full potential.
Please join us in this exciting, God-filled journey and mission.
Our Mission
Be Teleios, Inc. is a non-profit organization focused on helping impoverished, physically and mentally handicapped, high-risk adolescents recognize the challenges they face in life and provide structures, resources, and mentors for them to move past their challenges into a mature adult life.
Our Name
Teleios: the Greek word (τέλειος) is used over 500 times in Sacred Scripture. Etymologically, we have the words “telephone”, “telegraph”, “television” derived from “teleios”. The Greek word means to send a signal (a person) to “complete” its purpose, meaning, its true identity. Jesus’ commandment usually translated, “Be perfect” (Mt 5.48) gives an inaccurate connotation for teleios implying “flawless”. Jesus is commanding us to be the person God created us to be – fulfilling our purpose in life, discovering our identity.
"To Be Complete" is a better one word translation
Holistic Mentorship
Empowering high-risk adolescents through structured mentorship led by local Honduran and USA leaders, fostering character and resilience as they transition from adolescence to a mature, faith-filled life in Honduras.
Pathways to the Cross
Every individual journey is unique; we provide guidance and mentorship across diverse life paths that all ultimately converge at the Cross, where purpose and identity are found.
Community Support
Building a robust network of community resources and local social support, ensuring no youth in Honduras has to face life's obstacles alone.
